Mom's Cottage Gardens

For a few short months each year, my Mom goes crazy with her flowers! The cottage wouldn't be the same without her gardens :)
Canada Day at the cottage :) Did a little weeding with Mom. A few pics to post.
Spent a beautiful afternoon at the cottage on Thursday. Helped Mom divide a daylily. Fingers crossed it will survive and thrive next year :) Now I have a chunk to plant in my city garden... more digging :)
Was just at the lake on Monday. Some of the flowers are still going :) The Chelone (sp?) is just starting to bloom. Mom's roses are still beautiful! There is a crispness to the air now. Soon all will be under a blanket of white.
The fungus tour started when my Mom showed me her newest book on Ontario Fungus... who could resist :)? I set out to see what I could identify on our property at the lake. It has been such a cool and wet summer, just perfect for fungi :)
Went on a fungus tour of the property last weekend. Amazing how many different kinds there are. I am sure that I only saw a quarter of them... everytime I turned around there was one that I hadn't seen before. Will post some of my faves... even though not exactly gardening... just neat :)
Great photos. I like all the containers too. Great Macro on the spider. 2b is cold. Do you have difficulty with some plants? Vegetables?
