We are new to gardenig and have just planted our forest. Our Envirogroup wants to have a M?ori Medicine Garden and veggy plots. We're new to this so thought your site might be helpful

Hi, Love gardening with children. I lead two gardening events for children every year at Washington Market Park in Tribeca. We plant bulbs (this October daffodil and Tulips) in the fall and flowers in May. The gardners we draw tend to be in the under 8 years...and some are very enthusiastic. We provide gloves and trowels and plants and bulbs. The head gardner for the park, Clarence, assists the children. It is a fabulous event. We have one large designated area in the park for the kids to plant in. We couldn't plant vegetables because of rats (they come out after dusk when the park is shut down)...but the flowers thrive.
Hey Vikki what is your ireland garden? I'd love to see it...I was just in ireland, and wrote a piece for the Globe and Mail on Dublin.

Hello there Emma, What a great idea to get the little ones interested! We share a little in common in that Tony and I, after moving to Ireland 1 yr ago from UK town, started up our first veg plot at our rented farm. We also became involved in Midleton Community Herb Garden which is also on GJot. Any advice freely given, should you need it. How big is your plot? We battle with the rain and after flooding we now have glorious sunshine today so must finish off planting the fruit bushes. Good luck! Vikki
